Kai Lounge opens new horizons in Windhoek

Kai Lounge is the latest addition to the dining scene and one to watch.
The restaurant, located in the centre of Windhoek, caters for a memorable experience through traditional flavours, a sophisticated premium environment, and lavish nightlife.
Kai Lounge allows adult clientele to mix and chat while enjoying a drink of their choice and caters to satisfy their need for entertainment in a town generally renowned for being short on calming locations and hang-out sites.
Hendrick Nkole, one of the founders of Kai Lounge, spoke with Confidente about the establishment’s mission, the crowd they hope to attract, and the gap they hope to fill on the social scene.

“This lounge has sentimental value to us because the name Kai is derived from our late mother’s name, Kaino, and we wanted to pay tribute to her by naming the lounge after her.

She instilled a strong business appetite in her children, so we named it after her as a token of our gratitude for everything she has done for us.
“Kai Lounge opened doors on September 22 with the sole intention of creating a space in the Central Business District (CBD) where young professionals can unwind and socialise with like-minded people, as a safe space to experience city life,” Nkole stated.
