Kalux release teenage focused single

Award-winning artist Saggarias Karunga better known as Kalux has released a single titled ‘Ha A’, a tune which he says is dedicated to teenagers around the country.

In an interview with Confidente this week, Kalux said the song is meant to raise awareness about teenage pregnancies which is a prevailing problem amongst Namibian youth. 

He said the message in the song aims to discourage young girls from indulging in sexual activities at an early age.

He also urged young girls not to tolerate any form of sexual harassment!

“The lyrics are more about a game we used to play back in the day. I am basically just telling them to not allow anyone to touch them at places they wouldn’t want to be touched. It is your right to say no to sex,’ he said.

‘Ha A’ was released two weeks ago and has reached ten thousand views on Youtube till date.

The tune consists of amapiano instrumental is attracting thousands of ‘Yano music’ lovers.

The visuals were shot by upcoming videographer from Otjiwarongo ‘Jaydine Woest’ whom he described as a talented underground creative that is about to introduce a new ‘vibe’ to the cinematography world.

Kalux said, “The song is a dance tune that does not leave anyone sitting when it starts playing and at the same time you will be listening to an important message.”

Praising the videographer further Kalux said he has gotten great feedback on the music video as it was shot with passion and vision.

Asked on whether the single is a debut to an upcoming album, Kalux said he has no plans to release a full track project anytime soon but promises new singles in December.

“I am not working on an album but I have been in the studio recording and we have a bunch of songs recorded but have not discussed an album or EP yet. Perhaps we will sit and discuss that in July,” the “Netira” hitmaker said.
