Kandishishi seeks donors to support Onameya library

Regina Kandishishi has built a community Library in her village at Onameya, Omuthiya Constituency.

Kandishishi, an NUST graduate who is currently unemployed, said what motivated her to build the library in her community was part of development.

She loves reading, and people get different topics from schools that may interest them and their peers. “People get different perspectives on different topics that interest them, and school learners get to broaden their understanding of their school subjects.

Many parents and guardians struggle to meet learners’ needs due to financial difficulties. So to meet the youngsters, parents, and guardians, I decided to establish a library that many parents, guardians, learners, school teachers, and community members can welcome,” said Kandishishi.
