Katutura Fashion Week set for November

• By Martha Nangombe

THE Katutura Fashion Week (KFW), slated for November 24 and 25 at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC), promises to celebrate arts, entertainment, and the promotion of authenticity in fashion locally and internationally.

The Katutura fashion show will be held under the theme, “Arts, entertainment, and promoting the authenticity of fashion locally and internationally.”

According to event organisers, the Fashion show is being backed by Radio Energy100, Limkokwing University of Technology, Rocket Media, FNCC, and the Namibia College of the Arts.

In an interview with Confidente, Katutura Fashion Week Founder and Director Dennis Hendricks underlined the need for diversification.

“With this year’s theme being ‘Arts, entertainment, and promoting the authenticity of fashion both locally and internationally,’ we as an organisation strive to be unique each year we host the KFW, and this year is no exception. We have always represented Namibia to the rest of the world as an organisation, and the KFW is there to display our diverse, rich history and legacy through fashion.
