The man who is credited for having given Namibia its name, once quipped that while in the evening of his life, he would still live until Namibia ‘itself’ said goodbye.

On June 14 2021, Namibia whispered that fond adieu to a gentle giant, a man of remarkable insight and knowledge, which he freely shared with anyone who cared to listen.

At age 89, Kerina succumbed to Covid-19 complications at Katutura State Hospital in Windhoek.
