KRAATZ, an Ohlthaver & List Group division, handed over scrum equipment to Vipers Rugby Club and the Pionierspark Primary School (Parkies) rugby team.

The N$14 000 scrum equipment, which was donated by Kraatz, will help Pionierspark Primary School rugby players of all ages as well as members of the Vipers Rugby Club who travel across Windhoek to make use of the equipment during training.

The equipment was handed over earlier this week.

According to Apie Oberholzer, Vipers Rugby Club and Parkies U13 rugby team head coach, the donation is intended to help players advance to the upper divisions of the Namibia Rugby Union (NRU),

“We are quite fortunate to have folks that want to assist with projects of this nature. We are grateful for this scrum machine, which will help the Vipers Rugby Club and Parkies reach new heights.

“Kraatz and the O&L Group deserve credit for making this feasible. We are happy to have this scrum equipment,” Oberholzer stated.

During the hand-over ceremony, Kraatz site manager Jacobus Calitz appreciated the team’s work on the project and pledged the company’s support to rugby players.

“I would like to formally present this scrum equipment to Vipers Rugby Club and Pionierspark Primary School Rugby on behalf of Kraatz. In Namibia, rugby is a rapidly expanding sport that inspires feelings of comradery and passion. We hope that this new addition to the school and club will grow the team to reach new heights,” Calitz said.
