Mafikizolo Set to Dazzle Windhoek with Unmissable Performance

Windhoek is gearing up for an electrifying evening as the multi-award-winning South African Afro-pop sensation Mafikizolo is scheduled to perform next month.
The dynamic duo, Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Mafu will light up the stage on August 16 at the Doc Jubber Hockey Field, adjacent to the Dr. Hage Geingob Stadium in Olympia, starting at 16:00.
Since their formation in 1996, Mafikizolo has captured the hearts of fans across the continent. They burst onto the scene with their self-titled debut album in 1997, followed by the impactful “Music Revolution” in 1999.
Known for their inventive dance routines and impeccable fashion sense, Mafikizolo brought a distinctive 1950s flair with their album “Six Mobane,” incorporating fur and Cadillac themes seamlessly into their performances.
The lineup for the supporting acts for the much-anticipated concert includes The Ells, 4×4 Too Much Power, Hot Pocket Band, uncle and friends, and so many more.
Their evolving sound, blending kwaito, Afro-soul, house, and Afro-house elements, has kept them at the forefront of the music scene. With a rich discography spanning over 27 years, Mafikizolo boasts ten studio albums featuring timeless hits like “Kwela Kwela,” “Sibongile,” “Udakwa Njalo,” “Khona,” and “Love Potion.”
Mafikizolo’s illustrious career is decorated with numerous accolades, including 14 South African Music Awards (SAMAs) and two MTC Africa Music Awards, highlighting their status as the Best Duo or Group of the Year.
The Windhoek concert promises to be a spectacular event filled with good music from local artist, giving them a platform to connect with their fans.
