Male model bemoans lack of support

THE country’s modelling has largely been seen as a female domain, with few men wanting to take up the challenge and create a name for themselves.

The entertainment industry is vast and diverse, comprising various creative disciplines and models that undoubtedly contribute significantly to the industry’s visual appeal and artistic vision.

Mbonge Kambonde is, however, among the few males who have taken up modelling and kept their passion as they try to redefine it as a gender-neutral industry and do away with the misconception of it being for the fairer sex.

Kambonde has been in the modelling industry since 2019 and has worked with a number of well-known companies and recently signed with a South African modelling agency, Boss Models.

“I began my modelling career in 2019, and it has been an exhilarating experience since then. Over the last few years, I have developed my talent, embraced new opportunities, and strove for excellence in this ever-changing sector.

“I have had the honour of working with a number of prestigious brands, both local and international.
