Lady May Africa’s Gospel album is out

AFTER veering into Gospel music and signing under D-Naff Entertainment, Martha Namundjebo who now styles herself as Lady May Africa has released her first Gospel album, titled ‘Unbroken’.
Lady May Africa described the album as an inspirational project which speaks about the word of God and is intended to shed light on the lives of many Namibians.
“The experience working on this album was amazing and it was a learning curve. I had a lot of fun, I am grateful and excited now that the album is here,” she said, adding that Unbroken means anything that is perfect in God’s eyes.
“If you are not broken, don’t try and fix yourself, but if you are broken only God is able to fix you.
That is the simple message behind the name of the album,” she elaborated.
The album was produced by variety of producers, including Arafath, Mr Glo, Elvo, House Guru Gang, Pamoja Records, and by international musical gurus like Ogopa (Kenya), MZ (Angola) and Taz from Zambia. With the aim of delivering a well-crafted album, she featured talented vocalists such as Maranatha, Berthold, Naomi Classik, Franklin, D- Naff and Apostle H.B Goroh.
Although the album was released last week, Lady May said she will not be hosting an official release party but has plans to have “something special” in the first week of December.
Even though the date of the special party remains a secret, she said, “We wanted to do something different and not have the usual release parties but something very special to include everyone at a secret venue. For now, we are just busy with the marketing stage. We don’t want to announce dates and put pressure on ourselves.
”
Asked what her favourite song on the album is, she said all the tracks consist of a strong message and listeners are not likely to press the skip button on any of them. She further mentioned that she will be taking part in the NAMAs 2019 as it is a great platform to market her newly released album.
“NAMAs is a good platform to market our music.
Sometimes it is not just about winning because at the end of the day there can only be one winner in a category. Entering will just be icing on top of the cake.”
Lady May thanked her loyal fans who have been following and supporting her music, saying that it means the world to her. “There are those who continue to support Lady May Africa from the beginning up to the Gospel journey and all I want to say is, thank you.
