Matongos in N$200 000 repatriation bid

AS the nation commemorates Cassinga Day – a time in which homage is paid to both the deceased and survivors of the Cassinga massacre –some Namibians have it that the heroic status of their kinfolks are met with zero recognition by the government of the day.
This week, the children of the late liberation stalwart Greenwell Matongo; Beauty and Simasiku; opened up to Confidente on the perceived unsubstantial and largely ornamental manner in which their father’s legacy is being handled by the government – and their quest to raise N$200 000 for the repatriation of his remains.
