Mboma ready to take on the world-Botha

OLYMPIC silver medalist and Commonwealth Games Bronze medalist Christine Mboma’s coach, Henk Botha says the sprint sensation is ready to conquer the world this year, starting with the Wanda Diamond League season which will take place in May in Doha, Qatar.

The other major competitions lined up for the Mboma this year will be the All-Africa Games in August in Accra, Ghana, the World Athletics Championships in August in  Budapest, Hungary and the Diamond League finals in the United States of America (USA) in September.

The girl from Shinyungwe settlement, 210km east of Rundu in the Kavango-East Region will be one of the athletes the world will have a close eye on, when the season starts.

Another competition Mboma is expected to compete in, is the IAAF World Challenge Meeting in Rabat, Morocco on May 28, six days after her 20th birthday.

Speaking in an interview with Confidente Sport Botha said the the 2021 World Under-20 Championship winner was ready for the world.
