Ministry to tackle child violence

AT least 45 percent of males aged 18 to 24 years have experienced physical, sexual or emotional violence in childhood, while nearly two out of every five females have also experienced the same violence.
This is according to statistics provided by the Minister of Gender Doreen Sioka.
Sioka stated that the most common form of violence is emotional violence with 39.

3 percent of girls and 30 percent of boys experiencing emotional violence inflicted by peers, while children continue to experience corporal punishment both in the home and school setting.
