More than 120 juvenile drug dealers arrested

THE Namibian Police (Nampol) has revealed that 125 juveniles were arrested in connection with dealing in drugs such as cannabis and mandrax in the last three years.
Statistics provided to Confidente show that in Erongo region, 21 juvenile suspects were arrested while in Khomas 46 were detained.
Meanwhile in //Karas region, 13 juvenile suspects were arrested in possession of cannabis or and mandrax, however, only one case was recorded in Oshikoto region.

Speaking to Confidente on the number of youngsters arrested regarding dealing, Erongo police spokesperson Inspector Ileni Shapumba said drug use amongst the youth is a huge concern in the region.
