More than 200 kids on the streets of Windhoek

THE Minister of Gender Equality, Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare has recorded a staggering number of 217 children living and working on the streets of Windhoek.

Speaking to Confidente, gender deputy minister Bernadette Jagger said the increasing number of children on the streets in Windhoek alone raises alarm for immediate interventions.

In order to decrease the number of children living on the streets, Jagger said she and her team are working tirelessly around the clock to come up with solutions.
