More than 60 people gunned down in 2 years

Atotal of 62 people were killed in firearm-related incidents in Namibia from beginning of 2019 to end 2020.

This was revealed to Confidente by the Namibian Police this week.

The statistics also reveal that Khomas region has the highest number of murders committed and Omaheke region has not reported any firearm-related murder cases in the last two years.

Statistics show that in 2019, Khomas reported 12 such cases, Oshana region had five, Omusati and Zambezi four each,  whereas Kavango East region reported three cases while Erongo, Kavango West, Kunene, Oshikoto and Otjozondjupa regions reported one case each.
