“It is all about us taking stock of our lives and a reminder that we should be thankful for what we have at the moment and not for what we need”.

“We tend to forget that God always has a plan for us all and focus on the wrong things happening in our lives and we often forget about the positives,” he added.

Mr Makoya said in most cases a lot of people only pray when in need of a favor, something that needs to change.

“People get on their knees when we ask the Lord for things and forget to pray to him to be thankful but God is good all the time” Makoya narrated.

Makoya informed Confidente that a charity project titled after the song has also become a reality.

Gan gans means ‘thank you’ in the Damara language and by giving back to the community through charity we are saying thank you for all that God has done in our lives.
