It has been a few years that we have been talking, having meetings back and forth but now we are here.

It all takes patience,” he said.

The event dubbed, Standard Bank 09 Music Festival, will revive the 09 musical festival started by King Tee Dee in 2019 where local artists got an opportunity to perform on stage in front of a huge crowd.

King Tee Dee explained that due to the pandemic, fans will watch the event from the comfort of their homes.

“We didn’t do it last year because of corona but all of last year we have been sitting with Standard Bank trying to figure out how we are going to do it since the last show took place in 2019,” he explained.

King Tee Dee went to note that all around the world, shows are now being hosted online and buying tickets is not as complicated as it was in the past.

“The good thing is that one can buy a ticket wherever they are and watch wherever they are.

You don’t have to go stand in long queues,” he said.

Although the show is scheduled to take place in September, King Tee Dee could not fully divulge on what music lovers can expect on the night of the show he however promised an exciting event full of enticing music.

He said, “We can’t reveal everything right now but we promise a great show that will blow everyone away. On whether we are going to bring an international artist, we can’t also say much at this point, but it is going to be nice, people have already started buying their tickets.

King Tee Dee further promised to release an album towards the end of the year.

“Kind Tee Dee doesn’t have an album yet and I am hoping to collaborate with the bank on that again.  I would like to work with them for many years, it is a great brand,” he added.
