MultiChoice Talent Factory calls for entries

By Confidente Reporter

YEAR on year, MultiChoice Talent Factory (MTF) opens a Call to Entry (CTE) for interested and aspiring Namibians, who wish to pursue a career in all things related to film.
The CTE officially opened on June 1 2021 and has now been extended to July 16 2021 for interested individuals to submit their online applications.
According to MTF, this is a fully funded, one-year scholarship programme which runs across three academies in Africa, which will host 60 new participants upon selection, and the selected Namibian students will be hosted in Zambia.
“We’re encouraging Namibians to participate in these engagements. Outside of the above, we have a jam-packed month with lots of MTF activities happening. Please …feel free to register your attendance.” MTF further stated in a press release that they have partnered with Pavillon Afriques at Cannes 2021 to present MTF workshops during the virtual film festival.
The first master class will be about ‘Effective storytelling’ with Prof Linus while master class two is ‘Intimacy on Set by Sara Bleche’.
Meanwhile, master class three is about ‘The art of storytelling through sound design and music by Vikram Joglekar.’

Durban Film Mart
MTF took up a profile page at the Durban Film Mart (DFM). The DFM Content Shop is a curated digital catalogue of film projects that aims to create opportunities, engender inclusivity, and champion access to markets for African filmmakers. It is a platform for producers with content ready for the market to connect with potential buyers, sales agents, distributors, and festival programmers.
