Muslims feed 6 000 during Ramadan

THE Muslim community in Windhoek recently distributed food hampers to at least 6 000 needy people from around the country.

The food distribution of more than 7 000 hampers was held at the Windhoek Islamic Centre and other Islamic centres countrywide during Ramadan, and was done in collaboration with the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Saudi Arabia.

The hampers included cooking oil, tinned fish, tinned beans, sugar, macaroni, peanut butter, mealie meal, soup, mince, flour and many other necessities.
