MOTOR Vehicle Accident Fund has recorded a positive trend, a decline in crashes, injuries and fatalities; this is according to recent data provided this week by MVA Fund chief executive officer Rosalia Martins- Hausiku for the period of January to March 24 2021.
As stated by MVA crashes and injuries both declined by three percent from 721 to 698 crashes and from 1 205 to 1 165 injuries as compared to the same period in 2020.
“Furthermore, a significant change for the same period was noted in 2020, as compared to 2019, where crashes, injuries and fatalities declined by six percent, two percent and 26 percent respectively.
This affirms the positive downward trend in crash statistics,” said Martins-Hausiku.
