N$150m NUNW, LIH venture in limbo

THE construction of Union Square, a multi-million dollar office complex for the National Union of Namibian Workers (NUNW) in Windhoek, hit a snag way before take-off, Confidente can reveal.
This despite promises by previous chief executive officers (CEOs) of Labour Investment Holdings (LIH), who continuously waxed lyrical about the project’s prospect to provide jobs, while revitalising the face of Katutura.

LIH is the commercial arm of the NUNW, which was initially tasked with the facilitation of the venture.
