N$20m Etosha fence tender cancelled

THE Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism has cancelled a tender worth an estimated N$20 million for the repair and electrification of an elephant and predator proof fence in Etosha National Park, Confidente has established.
Fourteen bidders had submitted their bids with the highest bid quoted at N million and the lowest at N million.

Documents seen by Confidente show that the Bid Evaluation Committee which recommended that the bid be cancelled cited validity among others, as the reason for cancellation.
