N$800m defaulters sink NAC

AT least N$800 million owed by various debtors to Namibia Airports Company (NAC) is threatening to sink the parastatal that is now in the process of contemplating salary cuts to survive, Confidente can exclusively reveal.
The huge chunk of these debts, Confidente understands, is owed by defunct national carrier, Air Namibia which is now in the process of liquidation.

Air Namibia was formally liquidated on March 26 2021, after no opposing papers were filed against a liquidation application brought by the NAC in which the national airline had owed N4 million to the NAC in outstanding aeronautical and ground handling charges.
