Nam records 4000 robberies in 10 months

SOME 3 978 robbery cases were reported in Namibia since the outbreak of Covid-19 between March last year and January 2021, Namibian Police Inspector General Sebastian Ndeitunga has said.

The statistics also revealed that so far 715 suspects in the robberies were picked up while 3 263 are still on the run.

Of the arrested suspects are 680 males and 19 females while 16 juveniles were also arrested in connection with robberies.

Statistics from Nampol further showed that Khomas region continues to lead the pack with 2 292 cases reported.
