NAMCOL gives scholarships valued at N$350 000

NAMIBIAN College of Open Learning has offered scholarships worth N$350 000 to students across the country including 19 offenders from the Windhoek correctional facility, NAMCOL director Heroldt Murangi has said. 

Speaking on behalf of the offenders at the awarding event, Liina-Limekela Shaambeni explained that the inmates appreciate the chance that they have been given to study while in prison.

“On behalf of my fellow offenders, males and females, who received this scholarship from NAMCOL, we really appreciate and feel honoured for what the entire management has done for us.
