Namibia calls for Chinese investment in mineral value addition

• By Andre Tino

TRADE Ministry Executive Director Sikongo Haihambo has urged China to establish vocational colleges or centres focusing on the value addition of raw minerals.

Haihambo uttered these remarks on the occasion of the arrival of Wei Jinming, the new counsellor for economic and commercial issues at the Chinese Embassy in Namibia.

He described the Namibia-China trade diplomacy as a shining example of successful collaboration, demonstrating the partnership’s favourable influence on economic progress.

“As we gather for this prestigious event, let us renew our commitment to the principles guiding our relationship thus far. Let us seize the chances that await us and continue to build the link between our two nations for the benefit of both our peoples,” Haihambo said.
