Namibia records 15 suicides in just over a month

AT least 15 people committed suicide during the month of April and the first two weeks of May countrywide. This is according to the Namibian police weekend crime report.

The report indicates of the people that took their lives three were female and 10 males; all between the ages of 20 and 44 years.

In the most recent incidents on May 8, Shikufinde Mateus Shipopyeni a 28-year-old male was found hanging in the garage of his house in Outapi with a cord around his neck, and on the same day a 27-year-old female, Lisa Israel was also found hanging on a tree in Oshikango.

Both victims did not leave suicide notes.
