Abraham deserves a seat among wrestling gods

THERE is no doubt that Ester Abraham deserves to be named among the wrestling gods after winning a bronze medal at the 13th Africa Games in Accra, Ghana, from March 11 to 23.

Abraham, one of the best female wrestlers in the country, if not the continent, followed up her bronze medal win in Accra with a silver medal win at the African Wrestling Championship in Alexandria, Egypt, which was held from March 14-19 as part of the 2024 Africa Olympic qualifiers.

Despite not making it to the Olympic Games, a testament to her resilience and determination, Abraham’s status as a great wrestler remains undisputed.
