NCRST struggles to fund grant holders

THE Namibian National Commission on Research Science and Technology (NCRST) is struggling to honour its commitment to grant holders due to numerous budget cuts and low spend by government on research and development during the past few years, acting Chief Executive Officer Enid Keramen has revealed.

In an interview with Confidente, Keramen said apart from struggling to fund grant holders, NCRST has been experiencing a high staff turnover in the past two years in the division of Grant Management resulting in the department being understaffed.
