Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup promises fireworks

THE 22nd annual youth football and netball competition, the Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup promises to offer an intriguing competition.

The Nedbank Namibian Newspaper Cup will see athletes under the age of 20 compete in football and netball games in Gobabis from March 29 to April 1.

The flagship sponsor, Nedbank Namibia, returns to complement The Namibian Newspaper, which owns the naming rights to this remarkable youth Under-20 football and netball championship.

Coca-Cola, Desert Radio, the Ministry of Sport, Youth, and National Service, and the Namibia Sports Commission (NSC) are the competition’s other partners.  Deputy Minister of Sport, Emma Kantema-Gaomas, officially launched the games which she described as an opportunity for young athletes to utilise sport to unite the nation.
