NFA to professionalise football

NAMIBIA Football Association (NFA) president Ranga Haikali has said that under his regime he wants the sport to be professionalised in line with FIFA club licensing regulations in order for local football to reach the level of other African professional football leagues such as in Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa and Angola.

Haikali said this in an interview with Confidente Sports Desk this past weekend on the side-lines of the 16th NFA Extraordinary Congress in Windhoek, which took a decision to expel the Namibia Premier League (NPL) as a member of the association.
