No liquidation for Fishcor – Gaomab II

FOLLOWING the liquidation of Air Namibia and with growing national concerns that more public enterprises may be liquidated, chairperson of the temporary Fishcor board of directors, Mihe Gaomab II has said that the troubled entity will not go the liquidation route but rather will be reoriented into the sustainable company it was before.

Addressing the media this week, Gaomab II highlighted that the board is reorienting by putting in place transparent and integral effective corporate governance at Fishcor and is now in the process of recruiting a substantive CEO and management as well as to provide continuous strategic oversight to Fishcor as mandated by the Ministry of Public Enterprises and Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources.
