No more publishing Gr 12 results in the press

MINISTRY of Education executive director, Sanet Steenkamp has said grade 12 results will be out early February although the government will not use the conventional announcement through the newspaper printouts to save learners from mental stress.

Speaking to Confidente this week Steenkamp said the results will be released through a short message service and online.

“The executive management of the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture had a meeting this week and it was anonymously endorsed …

those who responded positively agreed that they will not recommend to the minister and the executive management of the ministry to have the results published,” she said.
