NVF Cup prize money a shame: Amakali

• By Michael Uugwanga

NAMIBIA Volleyball Federation (NVF) Technical Director Joseph Amakali says it is a shame to see that the winning teams in the Bank Windhoek NVF Cup will walk away with N$10 000 as a first reward, which is far less than the expense of honouring such event.

Winners in the men’s and women’s divisions will represent the country at this year’s Zone 6 Games, to be held from December 7 to 17, which Amakali says requires a lot of financial resources.

Amakali said participating in a top club competition like Zone 6 involves a lot of resources, which NVF is aware of, which means the two clubs that win their respective divisions will need to find extra funds for Zone 6 games.
