Ohorongo Cement donates N$4m medical equipment

IN a remarkable act of solidarity, Ohorongo Cement has donated a significant amount of medical equipment valued at N$ 4 million to the health ministry.

According to Health Ministry Deputy Executive Director Taimi Amaambo, the handover will go towards assisting individuals in need around the country and aims to improve healthcare facilities and the health of state patients and the community.

“The donation allows the Health Ministry to reallocate its limited resources to more vital areas as receiving these products, such as medical equipment or supplies, allows health facilities to save money that would otherwise be spent on purchasing them. It also allows the ministry to invest in other critical areas of need, such as recruiting more healthcare staff, upgrading infrastructure, or offering training and capacity building opportunities,” she said.

Furthermore, Amaambo said the donation will improve the overall quality of healthcare services.
