Oil & Gas online news and resources hub launched

FLYNAMIBIA Corporate Affairs and Marketing Manager Maija Shimwino says Namibia is eager to escape the resource curse and wants to ensure the country benefits from its resources and growth.

Speaking during the launch of the oil and gas website, Shimwino, one of the driving forces behind the recently opened Namibia Oil and Gas website, stated that the inauguration implies owning and leveraging our news and content for our profit rather than having an outside news website monetise the information and content.

“To complete these enormously ambitious projects, many workers will be required, with many Namibians expected to fill these roles. Workers will need to be trained, educated, and certified. This will be another major aspect of this website, providing information on where to get trained, certified and whether this can be done online,” she said.
