Old Mutual Foundation to host youth empowerment indaba

THE Old Mutual Foundation has launched a one-of-a-kind Indaba, which will be held on October 25 under the theme, ‘Spilling the Tea on Youth Unemployment.’

Old Mutual Namibia Group Marketing, Public Affairs and Sustainability Executive Mignon du Preez said the flagship event strives to solve the country’s critical issue of youth unemployment by providing young professionals with real answers, incisive dialogues, and significant skill development opportunities.

“The inaugural Indaba will be a one-day event aimed at engaging and empowering Namibia’s Millennials and Gen-Z by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to overcome financial issues, develop their jobs, and explore entrepreneurial opportunities,” she said

Du Preez said the Indaba is an important platform for open conversation, new ideas, and networking.

“The 2023 Old Mutual Foundation Indaba is more than just an event; it is a commitment to Namibia’s youths.

Our goal is to promote meaningful debate, raise understanding of the difficulties of teenage unemployment, and offer practical answers.

We believe that through empowering young professionals, we can help our country’s future.
