Turning a hobby into a business
By Martha Nangombe
Emen Johannes has seen her passion grow from making scrunchies to turning it into a side hustle to becoming a registered business despite her mother’s objection to her taking up fashion design as a career.

Born and raised in Arandis, Johannes launched her business in 2019 to supplement her mother’s income as a self-employed tailor.
