• By Michael Uugwanga

ONGOS Valley is reportedly in the process of acquiring a stake in Wanderers Rugby Club. This will see Wanderers Rugby Club change its name to Ongos Rugby Club, making rugby the latest sport to be owned by Ongos Valley, which already owns a football club, a Netball Club, and a basketball club.

Ongos Valley bought Tura Magic FC, which includes men’s and ladies’ teams, a netball team, and UNAM Sparks.
A few years ago, they started an Ongos volleyball team from scratch and participated in the Windhoek social league.A top bras member at Ongos Sports Club has said that Ongos Valley is busy negotiating a deal with Western Suburbs Rugby
that will see the Khomasdal outfits become part of Ongos’ family.

Once the deal is struck, female footballers of FC Ongos Ladies in the FNB Women Super League (WSL), who also play rugby
for UNAM Rugby Ladies Club, will be required to join Ongos Rugby Club.
