‘Only N$20 left in Nabta account’

BUS and taxi operators who are members of the Namibia Bus and Taxi Association (Nabta), say they will overtake and overhaul the whole leadership of the association come the association’s next congress which will take place today at Okahandja.

Several bus operators who spoke to Confidente this week and are expected to take part and vie for executive positions at the congress told this publication that the infighting, corruption, self- enrichment, fraud and mismanagement within the ranks of the association made them lose faith and trust in the custodians of the association.

“For too long we have been quiet while observing scandal after scandal unfolding. Money is being lost, properties are disappearing, yet no one is held accountable. The whole association is in a mess. A new leadership is needed,” a prominent businessman from Oshakati whose buses transport passengers between Oshakati and Windhoek told Confidente this week.
