Oshikoto kindergarten in dire straits

FOR the past three years, pupils of the Namgongo kindergarten at Onepandagulo village in Oshikoto region have depended on their elderly and ardent teacher for materials like pencils, books and even sanitisers during the ongoing pandemic.

This is because some of the parents cannot afford to buy their children school materials.

This is not the only headwind the pre-school is facing, the school operates from a privately-owned building, and does not have enough desks and chairs, and the building is not conducive for learning. Owing to this, school teacher Elizabeth Kagwe is seeking assistance to keep the institution at par with others in order to offer better education to the Namibian child.
