Osire without quarantine facility

OSIRE refugee camp in the Otjozondjupa region has been without a quarantine facility since outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Namibia last year March.
“The camp is unfenced so people are just moving freely. New immigrants who come in without results are allowed in the camp and there are no facilities to keep them quarantined while waiting for their results,” said Ministry of Health public relations officer, Manga Libita.
She added that the community does not adhere to Covid-19 regulations.
