Otjivero learners sodomised

… as school management remains nonchalant

MANAGEMENT and teachers at Otjivero Primary School are accused of having failed to pursue the appropriate legal and restorative approach and having turned a blind eye to the plight of three minor victims of sodomy, despite consistent calls by the parents for justice to prevail. The victims are said to be between the ages of 10 and 13 years.

However, this event is said to have not happened in isolation as Confidente is reliably informed that at the height of the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, older children at the school, which is located between Gobabis and Windhoek were preying on their younger schoolmates and this only came to the fore during the lockdown.

Relating the ordeal to Confidente, an aunt to two brothers, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the minors, maintained that her nephews were violated by two older boys.
