Oukwanyama cash-cow ‘ hijacked’

Amulti-million dollar fishing company, Queen Kaleinasho Fishing Company (Pty) Ltd which was initially earmarked to benefit the Oukwanyama clan has allegedly been ‘hijacked’ with claims of share theft, irregular practices and corruption having surfaced.

The firm, which is believed to have been awarded fishing rights for the luxurious monk fish spanning several years and also has been benefitting from the horse mackerel industry for many years, has allegedly failed to cater for its key shareholders including the Oukwanyama queen, Martha ya Kristian Nelumbu who is part majority shareholder and the Oukwanyama Traditional Authority (OuTA) itself which owns substantive shares in the venture.
