Ousted ‘fraudster’ returns as Henties leader

HENTIES Bay management committee member and Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) councillor, Siefried Garoëb was in 2018 found guilty of swindling council funds when he was still working as an assistant credit controller, Confidénte can exclusively reveal.

An internal investigation into the financial affairs of the council found Garoëb, who is now a leader within the same municipality to have misappropriated funds, processed unauthorised credit notes from clients and cancelled cash receipts at the till in acts that accumulated in him siphoning over N$61 000 in 2018.
