Over 500 adolescents suffer from cancer

A TOTAL of 561 childhood cancer cases have been recorded in Namibia for a period of nearly eight years, Confidente has established.
According to the statistics revealed by the chief executive officer of Cancer Association of Namibia (CAN), Rolf Hansen, childhood cancer in Namibia starts from zero to 14 years old.

From the 561 cancer cases recorded, 247 are children from zero to four years, 159 are from five to nine years, and 155 are from 10 to 14 years old.
