PDM trio accuses electoral chair of contempt

MEMBERS of the main opposition party Popular Democratic Movement (PDM), Charmaine Tjirare,  Hidipo Hamata and Raymund Diergaardt are seeking an order to commit the chairperson of the Electoral Commission of Namibia, Elsie Nghikembua for contempt of court.

According to court documents filed at the High Court if Nghikembua fails to comply with a court order that was granted last year July, she will be held in contempt of the court and should be sentenced accordingly.
