‘Pogba’ dreaming of Gladiators dance

• By Michael Uugwanga

ONGWEDIVA Queens midfielder, Rosalia ‘Pogba’ Kandjeke, says she dreams of a call-up to the Brave Gladiators set-up.

Pogba was instrumental for Queens in the recently concluded FNB Women Super League where she proved herself and carried the team on many occasions.

Pogba, who was born in 2003 in Onashiku Village in Oshana Village, began playing football at the age of 17 in 2020 for her beloved Queens and has since established herself as one of the top female footballers in the country.

Despite her outstanding performance for Ongwediva Queens as an attacking midfielder, it is unfortunate that she was not called up to the current Brave Gladiators squad, which is preparing to face Equatorial Guinea in the preliminary round of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

Ongwediva Queens were making their debut top-flight female football competition after purchasing the status of Windhoek-based Girls Football Academy.
