Police forensic unit making headway

The Namibian Police Forensic Science Institute (NPFSI) has been able to clear 60 341 case to date its inauguration in 2020.

The N$346 million state-of-the-art forensic institute in Windhoek, that was inaugurated in October 2020 received 67 451 cases when it started operations.

This was revealed to Confidente by Inspector General of the Namibian Police, Sebastian Ndeitunga.

Additionally the institution has also been able to screen a total of 634 DNA samples for criminal cases between November 2020 and January 2022.
