Project Mukuroba start of an exciting journey: Theofelus

• By Martha Nangombe

FROM the décor that converted the National Theatre of Namibia into a presentation of distinctive Namibian landscape components to the fashionable line-up of famous visitors walking the Odelela Carpet, the premiere event to celebrate the release of Project Mukurob proved to be one of the year’s entertainment highlights.

The event commemorating the release of the movies on Kyknet, Kie, and Showmax proved to be a magnificent night, befitting the grandeur of the productions, the most significant local expenditure by MultiChoice Namibia.

The event drew a big crowd of Namibia’s biggest stars.

Up to 13 local films will be broadcast to highlight Namibian stories while also helping to strengthen the local film industry.

The cast and crew of the 13 locally made feature films were out in force recently for the glamorous, Namibian-inspired premiere.

At the ceremony, Deputy Information Minister Emma Theofelus said Project Mukurob is starting an exciting journey that will pay the way for a thriving Namibian film industry.
